Remote control ceiling fans have a mechanism to bypass the regulator. When the ceiling fan is paired with the remote control, it can directly receive commands from the remote control. In fact, even if the regulator is present and connected to the system, simply leaving the regulator at maximum and using the remote control works just fine.
There are many factors that can influence the range of a remote control of the fan. The technology used to send signals, whether the remote control’s battery is charged or not and if there’s any obstruction between the remote and the receiver. Without any obstruction blocking the signal, the remote control fans of Nex can work from up to 25 meters away.
Currently this functionality is unavailable with Nex high speed ceiling fans that come paired with remote controls. However, there are many new technologies we are constantly developing to elevate your comfort. It is possible that in the future we might have a model that could pair smart home systems with remote control functionalities.
Yes, just as a regulator, your can select from 1 to 5 speeds for your Nex remote control ceiling fan. In fact, the individual buttons on the remote for each speed even allows you to go directly from 1 to 5 if you wish. To add to this, you also get a timer function that helps you switch off the fan automatically after the set time.
